Bei Barmenia wurden Parkberechtigungen in Form von fixen Mietverträgen vergeben. Da nicht immer alle Mitarbeitenden im Büro waren, wurden mit einer Überbuchungsquote von 70 % mehr Berechtigungen vergeben, als es Parkplätze gab. Durch die Volatilität der Abwesenheitsphasen (z.B. in Urlaubszeiten), entstand trotz hoher Nachfrage immer wieder Leerstand. Dies führte sogar dazu, dass Beschäftigte ohne Mietvertrag sich trotz vorhandener Ressourcen Stellplätze im öffentlichen Raum suchen mussten, weshalb sich auch Anwohner beschwerten. In den letzten Jahren ist das Unternehmen zudem stark gewachsen, wodurch sich die Parksituation noch weiter verschärft hat. Dies führte sogar so weit, dass daraus Herausforderungen beim Recruiting entstanden.

Thanks to more targeted parking space allocation and the management of user groups, all employees can now book a parking or charging space as needed and are guaranteed a parking spot once their reservation is confirmed. The real-time data provided by the system also offers a solid basis for decision-making regarding further measures to optimize utilization. Furthermore, the digitization and automation of processes eliminate much of the manual effort involved—such as drafting lease agreements or billing parking fees—since these previously manual processes can now be handled by the system.
