Privacy Policy "ParkHere Corporate" App

The protection of your data and transparency regarding the processing of your data are important to us. We would therefore like to inform you below about what personal data is processed when you use our app and what rights you have under the GDPR.

1. Responsibilities and Contact Information

Your employer, which uses the ParkHere Corporate App, is the controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the GDPR for the processing of your data via the ParkHere Corporate App.  ParkHere GmbH (we) has developed the software and hardware necessary for the use of our services and acts as a technical service provider and data processor within the meaning of Article 28 of the GDPR, processing your data in accordance with your employer’s instructions. In this regard, we refer you to your employer’s privacy policy for further information.

3. Purposes of Data Processing, Legal Basis

With the ParkHere Corporate app, ParkHere GmbH offers a smart solution for reserving employee parking spaces and gaining easy access to the corresponding parking areas.

The app allows you to manage your reservations and view information about them. If you have entered your license plate number in the app, our terminal will automatically open the barrier for your reservation.

Alternatively, you can gain access to the parking lot using a QR code.

In order to provide you with our service, we need your login information—specifically, your email address—to identify you as an authorized user. If you want the barrier to open automatically when you enter the parking garage, we need your license plate number. Your employer also needs your employee number and your name for identification purposes.

To use our service, an internet connection is required for most features. No other permissions are required to use the service. As part of the registration process and subsequent use, we also process IT usage data necessary for the delivery of data packets.

The legal basis for the processing of your data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, as the data processing described here is necessary for the fulfillment of the user agreements between you and your employer. There is no transfer to a third country within the meaning of Article 44 et seq. of the GDPR.

4. Duration of Storage

The data collected during use, particularly reservation data, will be deleted after a period determined by your employer, but no later than 180 days after use, unless there are legal obligations requiring longer retention. If you no longer wish to use our service, please notify your employer. We will completely delete your data within 45 days of your employer’s cancellation of your account, unless we are legally required to retain it for a longer period.

5. Categories of Recipients of Your Data

As part of our processing of data on behalf of your employer (the app operator), employees of ParkHere GmbH have access to your personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill the purposes described above. By law, we may be required in certain cases to disclose personal data to government authorities (e.g., in response to requests for information from investigative authorities).

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have various rights that you can exercise with the data controller.

  • You have the right to obtain information about your processed data (Art. 15 of the GDPR).
  • You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected or incomplete data completed (Art. 16 of the GDPR).
  • Subject to certain legal conditions, you have the right to have your personal data erased (Art. 17 of the GDPR).
  • You have the right to restrict processing provided that one of the conditions set forth in Article 18(1) of the GDPR is met.
  • You have the right to data portability (Art. 20 of the GDPR).
  • You have the right to object at any time to processing carried out on the basis of the controller’s legitimate interest, for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR)

If the controller processes your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, effective for the future, without providing a reason.

You have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 of the GDPR). To do so, please contact the data protection authority directly.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The current version of this Privacy Policy can be viewed and printed here at any time. Since changes in the law or changes to our internal company processes may require us to amend this Privacy Policy, we reserve the right to make any necessary updates.
