Motorized private transportation has shaped our mobility for over 130 years. However, the rules of the game for travel and transportation have since changed: Climate change, advancing urbanization, and a growing awareness of the limited availability of raw materials make a shift in thinking necessary. In the future, our mobility should be less heavily dominated by PMT. But how can traffic—especially in mixed-use properties—be organized in a way that adequately, comfortably, and sustainably meets the diverse needs of tenants and landlords in an urban setting? This is the focus of the MIIQ research project, in which ParkHere is participating.

When the Henkel Group overhauled its parking management system at its Düsseldorf-Holthausen site in 2021, it had two primary goals: First, to reduce the amount of traffic circling the parking lot in search of a space; and second, to deter non-employees from parking there without authorization. ParkHere’s smart parking management system helped achieve both goals. However, there was also a third aspect: integrating charging stations into the parking concept. In this regard as well, the ParkHere solution proved to be effective—and forward-looking.

The web-based version of ParkHere's parking management solution is now available in the Microsoft Teams App Store. Users of the app, which is integrated into the Microsoft Teams platform, can conveniently reserve a parking space right from their desk.
